Mobile Food Pantry
The Mobile Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families in the
community as a supplement to their income. People are encouraged to use the money they would save from buying groceries to pay off their bills.
Abundant Life Ministries receives groceries from Second Harvest Gleaners
and puts them to good use. We are their third largest user of the 550
agencies in the nine county areas around Grand Rapids. ALM
was one of the first agencies to embrace the idea of allowing clients to choose what they wanted
instead of forcing them to take items they may not need, thereby
preserving dignity
and preventing waste. ALM
make great use of our mobile food pantry, which is the cheapest way to
draw food at the lowest cost available. ALM is exercising excellent
stewardship with an average food cost of approximately $0.07/lb.
Regarding grant funds developed by the food bank, ALM returns the
greatest value and best leverage of resources for our supporters.

Volunteer Opportunities
The
Mobile Food Pantry is scheduled to serve the community twice a month on
the 2nd and 4th or the 3rd and 5th Thursday afternoons starting at 4:30 PM. We are always looking for volunteers to help, please call Abundant Life Ministries at 248-4124 for more information or apostle@ablm.org.
Sponsor a Mobile Pantry
You or your organization can sponsor a truck for only $700. The
truck will contain approximately $21,000 worth of food items and serve
between 150 to 300 families. To sponsor a mobile pantry, please call
